The event took place in Dallas, Texas on July 25-27, 2019.

We were invited to take part in Tech Summit aimed at exchanging experience with the main providers of IT solutions in animal welfare field in USA.
This year the main issues of Tech Summit were the following:

- uniting the animal data that is stored in different databases
- technologies that help in stray cats population management

The representatives of Amazon Web Services introduced Blockchain as a system itself and the co-founder of our project Vasil Dub presented our solution animal-id.net as the first practical implementation of Blockchain technology in animal welfare. 
During our 2-nd presentation we shared the experience in stray dogs population management in Ukrainian cities and stray cats population management.

The event united experts and like-minded people involved in animal care field in the USA in order to share the experience, strategies and ideas. It was a perfect place to get inspired and set our goals till 2025. 

Overall more than 1500 participants visited the event in 2018. In 2019 even more workshops were held. People from all over the USA came to learn how to improve the Foster Family program, increase animal adoption rate, and simply network with partners.

The Best Friends national conference paid a lot of attention to effective marketing and fundraising for nonprofit organizations and shelters.

The event was sponsored by the Petco Foundation. Maddie's fund, Cuteness, WellnesS (Natural Food For Pets) and Amazon Web Services were also among the sponsors.
